To avoid lawyer fees … they are litigated by artificial intelligence

Writing legal notes is one of the tasks that require high accuracy and close knowledge of the laws, and for a long time, but in light of the accelerated technological developments, artificial intelligence (AI) has become a large part of our lives, and is increasingly relied upon, which prompted many people to obtain legal consultations, write commercial contracts, or even prepare their legal defense notes through the use of artificial intelligence Instead of resorting to law firms and legal consultations, while lawyers have warned of the risks of the use of non -specialists in artificial intelligence applications, such as “Chat GBT” and “Deep Cick” in preparing notes, legal agreements, and official correspondence, because of the risks that the customer may cost the loss of his claim or the loss of his legal rights.

In detail, lawyers emphasized that the use of artificial intelligence programs in preparing legal documents, without supervision of specialists for review and correction causes errors that they described as “grave”, as a result of the inability of artificial intelligence to verify the accuracy of that information before adding it to legal documents, and that he cannot deal with the privacy of each case, stressing that “its use in the law does not disagree with the experience and skill of the human lawyer, therefore This must be under the supervision of a lawyer, to be able to evaluate and analyze the texts generated by artificial intelligence programs and address them professionally and professionally.

They added that artificial intelligence has taken great steps in processing huge quantities of data, identifying patterns, and making decisions based on complex algorithms, but that lawyers cannot be replaced by artificial intelligence applications, as it is still unable to do the minds of the mind and balance between the special cases of each legal case, noting that applications such as “Chat GBT” and “Deep Sik” can have the use of themselves. It has a first step in preparing legal documents in terms of collecting information, and these applications can be beneficial to ordinary people in providing immediate answers to general legal questions, or persons who need basic legal guidelines before going to specialized legal advice, where general questions can be asked and obtained basic legal information.

Lawyer Salem Saeed Al -Haqi explained that artificial intelligence can prepare legal notes, using advanced models, with the availability of sufficient data and information, and can generate initial legal notes or drafts that can be built on, but this does not mean that the memo is valid for submission as it is, because the law is not only texts, but an understanding of the context and an appreciation of judicial jurisprudence.

He pointed out that the most prominent risks that may result from dependence on artificial intelligence in preparing legal notes, including the inaccuracy of the content, as it may depend on unprecedented or wrong information if it is not supervised by a legal specialist, and the absence of understanding of the realistic context due to his lack of fully understood the circumstances surrounding the case, as an experienced lawyer does, and ignore local judicial precedents or professional norms in a specific country, in addition to that in the case The error, artificial intelligence cannot be held accountable or legal responsibility, while the lawyer is responsible in front of his client, pointing out that the risks do not depend on legal errors, but also include the risk of privacy, as a result of the introduction of sensitive data into artificial intelligence platforms, which threatens the secret of legal information.

And Al -Haqi indicated that the lawyer surpasses artificial intelligence in the legal field, in many fields, including strategic analysis, as he considers an angle to win the case or reduce the loss in the interest of his client according to the context of the lawsuit, a deep understanding of the human soul and the estimation of the behavior of opponents, a reading between the lines, the pleading and the oral persuasion, where the skill of speaking before the judiciary cannot be replaced by artificial intelligence, and diligence Legal for lawyers, and the creation of legal solutions that do not necessarily appear in rigid texts.

He added that «local experience, professional relations, and knowledge of procedures are all decisive elements that are not possessed by artificial intelligence, and that the analysis of legal facts, the extraction of related texts from laws and regulations, and providing organized and logical legal formulations are all things that cannot be replaced by (AI).

He pointed out that reducing material costs is one of the most important factors that drives some of them to use artificial intelligence in preparing their legal notes, but there are some other factors, including easy access, where artificial intelligence tools can be used at any time and from anywhere, speed and a great time compared to taking an appointment with a lawyer, and some of them want to experience modern technological solutions and self -reliance, pointing out that “lack of awareness of the importance of the lawyer In judicial procedures, some of them are pushed to rely on (AI) tools without realizing risks, in addition to the lack of confidence sometimes by some lawyers.

Al -Haqi stressed that «artificial intelligence is a powerful tool that can be a good specific in legal work, but it does not sing from the human lawyer, especially in complex cases that require a deep understanding of the legal and human context.”

He believed that “the full dependence on it carries real risks.”

The lawyer, Hammad, supported him, noting that artificial intelligence can actually prepare legal notes, but it will lack many characteristics and details, and it will be general and closer to the subject of an expression, as it will be devoid of legal foundations that are useful in each case separately, especially as no matter how similar issues in the matter, they differ in details and legal defenses.

Hammad explained that the man of law exceeds artificial intelligence in many characteristics, including the factor of expertise, direct communication with the client, his knowledge of the details, secrets and attitudes that the issue has reached, and finally studying all the papers and documents in the case, pointing out that no matter how developed technology, the human mind remains the best at all.

And she saw that the physical factor is the first reason for the litigants to the artificial intelligence instead of using a lawyer.

For his part, lawyer Salem Obaid Al -Naqbi stressed that the lawyer is an art, creativity and mission, before the profession of knights in defending the oppressed and their support, and protecting the fair trial of delinquent guilty individuals against society, is not a state on the planet except in it and has a legal profession, due to its great importance for its basic participation of the judiciary in achieving justice.

He said: “Recently, a remarkable development in modern technology has witnessed, and the digital age has swept new technologies that are unparalleled, the most prominent of which is artificial intelligence that has become used in all fields, as it possesses many advantages that have solved many human problems, and despite this he has many negatives that constitute security and moral concerns, as it cannot be used as an alternative to the human element.”

Al -Naqbi added: “Some litigants may resort to artificial intelligence to prepare the notes of their defense, thinking that this is better, faster and financially more than resorting to the natural lawyer, and in that is a great mistake and danger, because the legal profession is the profession of creativity and innovation, and artificial intelligence lacks the innate creativity that humans possess and stems from emotional depth and abstract and practical thinking.” “Artificial intelligence can simulate creativity, but it does not have true originality or the ability to think outside the box as the lawyer does.”

He continued: «Experiences of the use of artificial intelligence in preparing defense notes, or formulating legal contracts without correction, review and intervention of legal specialists, proved their failure worldwide, and finally a major issue was raised globally because of the law office of a lawyer’s office fully prepared with artificial intelligence through the (Chat GBT) program, and the discovery of the court’s committee that contains legal legal quotes issued by the intelligence system Artificial. ”

Al -Naqbi stressed that the innate intelligence and creativity of humans cannot be simulated with the same accuracy, because the legal profession differs from most of the professions in being the realization of the mind and an attempt to create, creativity and innovation, so artificial intelligence cannot be replaced by the lawyer, or he will be dismissed in cases.

Strong partnership … superior results

Lawyers emphasized that multimedia obstetric models enabled artificial intelligence to interact with its surroundings in a manner similar to human perception, as artificial intelligence systems have become contributing to tasks that were monopolized by humans, and in several areas, most notably health care, financing, customer service, education, and manufacturing, but they remain auxiliary roles that need human supervision. They pointed out that artificial intelligence and human beings have integrated strengths, while smart models excel in processing data and frequent tasks, people bring creativity, sympathy, and accurate understanding, and then the two sides can build a strong partnership that achieves superior results.

They continued that the widespread spread of artificial intelligence applications raises many organizational, security and social challenges that require the enactment of special legislation, especially with the continued capabilities of artificial intelligence in growth, and its capabilities will generate increasing challenges for cybersecurity, and new risks related to privacy.

«GPT» response

In his response to a question to “Emirates Today” about his ability to prepare a legal memorandum to present it to the court, he confirmed that he can help. He stated that – in order to be able to prepare a legal note accurately and appropriately – he needs information, such as the competent judicial authority, the court to which the memo will be presented (Court of First Instance, Court of Appeal, etc.), and the type of case (civil, commercial, criminal, administrative, personal, etc.), the parties to the case, and a summary of the facts (the subject of the dispute, the main facts associated with it), and what the prosecutor requests from the court (payment An amount, or stopping the implementation of a decision, etc.), and legal principles, in addition to the date of the session, if any.

He said: «After providing these details, I will immediately formulate a legal memorandum that includes: the address, the case data, facts, legal defenses, and final requests.

Regarding the proportions of the case profit in the event of relying on his legal note, he pointed out that even with a strong legal memorandum, the profit rate cannot be guaranteed to several objective reasons, including external factors that affect the result, such as the judge’s conviction of evidence and arguments, and the evidence and evidence submitted by Interpretation », and the extent of the plaintiff’s commitment to submit documents and supportive certificates, stressing that the strength of the legal memorandum depends on the proper documents and certificates it provides for legal arguments.

He added: “If the legal memorandum is tight, supported by clear legal texts, a similar judicial precedent, and with the absence of clear weaknesses in the case, the success rate ranged between 70% and 90%, but if there are legal loopholes or a lack of evidence, the percentage decreases.”
