US Central Command confirms the death of all six crew members of the refueling plane that crashed in Iraq

The US Central Command (Centcom) confirmed the death of all six crew members of the KC-135 refueling plane that crashed in an accident in western Iraq yesterday.

In an update on the incident today, Centcom reiterated that the downing of the plane was not caused by hostile or friendly fire.

It reiterated that the plane was lost while flying over friendly airspace – western Iraq – yesterday, as part of the missions of Operation “Epic Rage.”

She stated that the circumstances of the accident are still under investigation, but it has been confirmed that the loss of the plane was not caused by hostile or friendly fire.
