UAE .. advanced facilities refresh summer tourism

Abu Dhabi, June 21 / WAM / Summer tourism in the UAE has witnessed a radical transformation during the past two decades, from a season that is the least attracted to visitors to an active period interspersed with major promotional campaigns, discount seasons, and huge internal entertainment activities, supported by a global level infrastructure.
The UAE has succeeded in developing huge shopping centers that are among the largest in the world such as Dubai Mall and others, museums, and entertainment facilities completely covered such as “Ski Dubai”, “Warner Brothers Abu Dhabi”, Ferrari scientist, and “CIS Island”.
Experts and officials in the local tourism sector emphasized that the current summer season will witness growth in the tourism movement due to the covered entertainment facilities and global infrastructure structures, and amid the activities announced in various Emirates, and with comprehensive hotel performances dedicated to certain segments.
During the summer season, the UAE focused on attracting family tourism and events tourism, through a series of festivals and events in the various emirates of the country.
From June 27 to August 31, the surprises of Dubai summer will be held to offer an interesting group of shopping experiences, withdrawals, prizes, entertainment events, and cultural activities for the residents and visitors of the city of all ages and nationalities.
Sharjah Summer Offers are working to attract visitors and residents to their activities that enhance the stimulation of commercial and tourism movement in the emirate, and at the same time provides consumers a season to enjoy a unique shopping experience.
Aisha Abd Al -Rab Al -Afifi, Director of the Tourism Development Department at the Ministry of Economy, expected that this summer will witness an intense tourist activity thanks to the various activities witnessed by the state and the increase in the number of hotels, which increased by 2% in the first quarter of 2025, in addition to increasing the number of hotel rooms and residence nights, which reflects the sector’s willingness to receive an active summer in terms of turnout.
For his part, Mohamed Al -Rayes, head of the Dubai Travel and Tourism Agents Group, and the CEO of the Rayes Group for Travel, stressed that the UAE is witnessing this year a great tourist momentum during the summer season, in light of the increasing number of visitors from inside and outside the country, thanks to the attractive promotional offers, advanced entertainment infrastructure, and the various events held throughout the Emirates.
He said, that the UAE has become a favorite destination for summer holidays thanks to the global internal entertainment features that allow visitors to spend many days without feeling the special challenge temperatures.
He explained that the UAE includes today a wide range of closed entertainment destinations such as the world of Warner Bros. in Abu Dhabi, Ski Dubai, and the adventure world, AMG, along with the major shopping centers, pointing out that this integration gives the country a rare competitive advantage in the region.
He pointed out that the summer campaigns launched by tourism departments in the various emirates of the country played and played a pivotal role in stimulating domestic and external tourism alike, in light of the diversity of events, festivals and exclusive performances targeting families and visitors from different groups.
For his part, Hosni Abdel -Hadi, CEO of Emirates Carlton Hotels, stressed that the UAE has succeeded in overcoming the challenges of the summer climate, thanks to a global infrastructure and an integrated tourist sector capable of attracting visitors throughout the year, including the summer season, which is witnessing a remarkable growth in the number of visitors and residents benefiting from offers and events.
He said that the tourism sector in the country is based on an exceptional infrastructure that includes major shopping centers, and fully covered entertainment areas scattered in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the rest of the Emirates, which provides multiple options for families and all segments of society during the summer period.
He added that summer tourism in the Emirates also benefits from the power of the aviation sector, whether through major national companies or through other airlines that link the state with hundreds of global destinations, and contributes to facilitating the movement of tourists coming from all over the world.
He pointed to the role of large discounts on hotel reservations and tourist activities, which sometimes reach 30 or 40%, in addition to offers dedicated to certain segments such as children and families, in stimulating the summer tourist movement.
