3 errors that offer traveler homes to theft

The General Command of Ras Al Khaimah Police warned against negligence in protecting homes during the holiday season, stressing that the absence of simple security precautions makes the house a “easy target” for the thieves.

She emphasized that there are three errors that exposed travelers ’homes to theft, noting the absence of security monitoring systems, the lack of use of smart locks resistant to breakage, and the absence of any periodic movement or visits from reliable people, because this gives the impression that the house is deserted for a while.

The police, represented by the Media and Public Relations Department, in cooperation with the Criminal Investigation and Investigation Department, launched an awareness campaign under the slogan “How to protect your home from theft?”

It has identified basic preventive steps for those who intend to travel during the summer, starting to ensure that the doors and windows are closed, put the vehicle in a closed garage inside the house, to protect it from tampering or theft, and the recommendation of relatives or trusted neighbors to inspect the house regularly, and the use of temporary lighting systems – which are automatically act Smart, associated with the phone, allows remote control to doors and windows, as well as monitor the place with sound and image at any time.

It recommended that you put precious holdings in safe places outside the home, such as banks or secure cabinets, with the dismissal of unnecessary electrical appliances, and the closure of gas, in order to avoid fires due to a technical defect or electrical contact during the absence period.

She pointed out that the crimes of theft of home increases during the summer season, given the travel of families, as the weak souls find an opportunity to enter housing and seize their contents, calling on citizens and residents not to compromise in taking the necessary measures, and cooperating with the security services, in order to preserve the safety of their property.
