US President Donald Trump announced, on Monday evening, a comprehensive ceasefire between Israel and Iran, expressing his hope that he would have a permanent ceasefire.

Trump said, in a post on his account on the “Truth Social” website, that Israel and Iran have agreed to a comprehensive and complete ceasefire “starting about 6 hours from now, when Israel and Iran end their ongoing final operations.”

He explained that the ceasefire will last for 12 hours, and at this point, the war will be considered expired.

Trump added: “I bless the world to end the war between Israel and Iran.”
