Abdullah bin Zayed receives the Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs

Abu Dhabi, June 25 / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Muhammad Ishaq Dar, received the Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, as part of the work of the twelfth session of the Joint Supreme Committee between the UAE and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, which was held in Abu Dhabi.

His Highness and His Excellency Mohamed Ishaq Dar discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them in a way that serves their mutual interests and returns with prosperity and prosperity over their people.

After the meeting, His Highness and His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs signed the minutes of the twelfth session of the Joint High Committee between the two countries.

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Excellency Muhammad Ishaq Dar also signed a memorandum of understanding regarding the mutual exemption from the entry visa between the two countries.

The two sides witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding regarding the establishment of a joint mechanism to enhance the investments of the UAE in the strategic sectors in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by His Excellency Muhammad Hassan Al -Suwaidi, Minister of Investment, and His Excellency Tariq Bajwa, the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

They also witnessed the signing of the AI ​​agreement and the digital economy between the two countries, signed by His Excellency Mohamed Hassan Al -Suwaidi, Minister of Investment, and His Excellency visited Hashem Khan, Federal Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information and Communications Technology in Pakistan.

The meeting of the joint committee was attended by His Excellency Muhammad Hassan Al -Suwaidi, Minister of Investment, His Excellency Ahmed bin Ali Al -Sayegh, Minister of State, His Excellency Saeed Mubarak Al -Hajri, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic and Commercial Affairs, His Excellency Imran Anwar Al -Sayyid Muhammad Sharaf Al -Hashemi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Advanced Science and Technology, and His Excellency Hamad Obaid Al -Zaabi, State Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

His Excellency Ahmed bin Ali Al -Sayegh, Minister of State, had chaired the Emirati side participating in the work of the Joint Supreme Committee between the two countries, while the Pakistani side was chaired by His Excellency Tariq Bajoa, the special assistant to the Pakistani Prime Minister.

His Excellency stressed in his speech during the committee that this important meeting of the joint ministerial committee between the UAE and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan embodies the deep partnership and roots inherent between the two friendly countries, a partnership that has flourished over decades of mutual cooperation and joint vision.

He expressed his sincere appreciation to His Excellency Mohamed Ishaq Dar, for his distinguished efforts and firm commitment to strengthening bilateral relations between the UAE and the Republic of Pakistan, where the two countries continue to build strong and flexible ties across many sectors of common importance.

He stressed that the Republic of Pakistan is a historical partner of the UAE, which is reflected in the distinguished bilateral relations between the two countries since the start of diplomatic relations in 1971, noting that these relations continue to prosper, as the non -oil trade exchange between the two countries witnessed an accelerated growth, exceeding 8.6 billion US dollars in 2024.

His Excellency pointed out that over half a century, the UAE and the Republic of Pakistan worked alongside to build a partnership based on mutual respect, trust and common goals, stressing the commitment of the two countries to achieve their joint vision, push bilateral relations, and ensure a prosperous future for future generations.
