A national program to qualify 500 golf players in 26 schools in the country

Dubai, June 25 / WAM / The Emirates Golf Federation launched a comprehensive training program for the rehabilitation and discovery of national talent, targeting 500 students in 26 schools at the state level, in cooperation with the government and private sectors, as part of a strategic plan aimed at expanding the base of practitioners from citizens.

He explained that the focus focuses on supporting the local championships of the world classified, by giving the winners opportunities to participate alongside the professionals, in an effort to raise the technical level of the citizen players, while organizing tournaments for small age groups of both sexes with the aim of spreading the game and preparing teams capable of representing the state efficiently in local and international forums.
He pointed out that the number of current players in the country is about 200 players, stressing the union’s keenness to enhance cooperation with the Arab and Asian federations, and partnership with the “Jaga” Academy in Al Ain to provide education and training needs, in order to support the development of golf in the country and the region.
