Al Ain ends his World Cup participation with a moral victory and two million dollars

Al Ain team concluded its participation in the FIFA Club World Cup with a valuable and moral victory at the expense of the Moroccan Wydad 2-1, in the match that brought the two teams together at the “Audi Field” stadium in the American capital, Washington, in the third and final round of the Group Seven competitions.

The “leader” managed to turn the table over the Moroccan team after he was late in the result from the first minutes, to achieve his first victory in the championship, and at the same time break his scoring fast, as he failed to score during the previous two rounds against Juventus (0-5) and Manchester City (0-6).

Although the match was a farewell meeting after it was confirmed that the two teams left the first round, it gained a special competitive character thanks to the financial prize for it, which amounts to two million dollars granted to the winning team, which made Al Ain players enter the meeting with a great incentive to respond to criticism and achieve a victory that restores some consideration.

The match started with a relative control from Wydad, who managed to score an early goal in the fourth minute through its player Cassius Milla, taking advantage of the defense of Al Ain’s defense, to put the Moroccan team in the foreground amid Ainawi’s confusion.

But Al-Ain gradually regained his balance and began to impose his style, until he managed to tie in the 45th+1 minute through a penalty kick he successfully scored by the Togolese striker Lapa Kudju, to end the first half 1-1.

With the beginning of the second session, Al Ain appeared in a more organized and fierce attacking way, and he succeeded in scoring the winning goal in the 50th minute, through the Paraguayan professional Alejandro Kaku, who launched a powerful shot from inside the penalty area that inhabited the net, to give his team the progress that continued until the end of the meeting.

Despite the farewell of the tournament, the victory gave Al -Ain an important moral boost, and it also reduced the criticism of the team after the modest performance in the previous two rounds, amid hopes of its fans that this victory would be a starting point for correcting the path next season.

On the other hand, Wydad left the championship without any victory, contenting with two goals and three losses, in participation without expectations for the fans of the Moroccan team.
