Chinese external investments grow 2.3% during the first 5 months of 2025

Beijing on June 27 / WAM / official data issued by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce showed that the Chinese directly non -financial investment increased by 2.3% during the first five months of 2025, reaching a total of 61.6 billion US dollars.
The People’s Daily Online newspaper quoted the ministry that the volume of investment in the countries participating in the “Belt and Road” initiative recorded annual growth by 20.8%, to reach 15.52 billion dollars.

The project revenues implemented by Chinese companies abroad amounted to 61.94 billion dollars, an increase of 5.4%, while the value of the new contracts signed 98.68 billion dollars, registered a growth of 13% on an annual basis.

Ya Dong, a spokesman for the Ministry of Commerce, explained that the contracts implemented in the “belt and road” countries amounted to 50.59 billion dollars, an increase of 3.9% compared to the same period last year.
