المملكة: Distribution of 5,000 seedlings to compensate the affected fires in Maysan
The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture at the Bani Malik Center in Maysan Governorate explained its implementation of an environmental initiative and the distribution of 5,000 seedlings for the benefit of those affected by the fires witnessed by the governorate, in cooperation with the “Fleegers” initiative, in a move aimed at rehabilitating the affected sites and compensating Vegetable cover which was affected by that Fires ." target ="_Blank"> People and volunteers and those interested in environmental affairs, where they participated in the distribution and planting process, which reflects the awareness of the local community of the importance of vegetation, and a number of residents expressed their thanks and appreciation for this initiative, which touched their needs and contributed to raising the morale of the affected people, praising the role of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in standing next to them in such circumstances. /> The director of the unit, Ziyad Al -Maliki, stressed that the initiative comes within the Ministry’s programs aimed at supporting rural societies and achieving environmental sustainability, stressing that the selection of types of seedlings was carefully carried out to suit the local environment, in an effort to achieve the goals of the Kingdom’s 2030 vision in combating desertification and enhancing natural plant diversity.
