Al -Fardan is officially nominated for the presidency of the UAE Basketball Federation

On Monday, Vice President of the Basketball Federation, Abdullatif Al-Fardan, officially submitted his candidacy papers for the position of the Federation’s presidency for the new electoral session 2025-2028, in the elections scheduled for August 24.
Al -Fardan’s candidacy for the Sharjah Club came with the opening of the candidacy for the presidency of the Federation, which will continue until the pioneer next Thursday afternoon, to be studied by applications for candidacy by the election committee during the period from 4 to 17 July, and the issuance of the approved list for the presidential candidates on the 18th of next month, and the opening of objections, during the period between 19 to 22 of the same month.
Abdul Latif Al -Fardan is considered one of the elements that have an impact in the field of the game, especially from the administrative point of view, where he held many positions in his career, and he started his career with the basket as a player in the Sharjah Club, then he held many administrative positions, including a manager of the first team in the Sharjah Club, until he reached the position of Vice -President of the Federation, through the membership of the club’s board 2008 until 2012 assumed the position of Assistant Secretary -General, and from 2012 to 2025 deputy president of the game Federation.
At the external level, he is a member of the Gulf Basketball Organizational Committee from 2017 to 2019, the head of the Gulf Organizational Committee from 2019 to 2023, and a member of the Executive Office of the AFC from 2019 to 2027.
