Mansour bin Zayed looks at the Cyber ​​Security Council initiatives for the UAE government

Abu Dhabi on July 1/ WAM/ His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and head of the Presidential Bureau, briefed on the efforts of the Cyber ​​Security Council of the UAE government and its initiatives in strengthening and protecting the cyberspace of the state.
His Highness listened – during his visit to the headquarters of the Cyber ​​Security Council of the UAE government – an explanation about the developments of implementing the axes of the national strategy for cybersecurity, which include the five pillars, which are governance, protection, innovation, flexibility, and partnership that aims to enhance cybersecurity through advanced technologies besides developing the necessary legal frameworks, and raising the efficiency of national cadres to build a competitive work force in the field of cybersecurity, In addition to encouraging partnerships between the public and private sectors to develop integrated solutions for cybersecurity, and to expand international cooperation to address cyber threats across the border.
His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed during the visit that cybersecurity is an essential pillar to ensure economic and social stability in light of the rapid digital transformation witnessed by the world … indicating His Highness that the UAE always seeks to adopt international best practices and enhance national and international cooperation systems to achieve a safe digital environment that supports the path of sustainable development of the state in a way that enhances the confidence of international investors and partners.
His Highness praised the efforts of the Council in protecting the digital system and enhancing the state’s global status in the field of cybersecurity, which culminated in its classification within the first category in the world in the International Cyber ​​Security Index issued by the International Telecommunication Union
His Highness added that the major development and investment projects launched by the state recently, which is a major driver for the future of artificial intelligence regionally and globally, makes the implementation of the national strategy for cybersecurity, and the development of advanced information infrastructure such as the National Center for Cyber ​​Security Operations, an inevitable necessity to protect the digital system.

His Highness said that these efforts are an essential pillar to protect digital investments, which enhances building a sustainable economy based on knowledge and innovation.
For his part, His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Al -Kuwaiti, head of cybersecurity of the UAE government, stressed the importance of the role of digital systems and platforms such as the National Center for Cyber ​​Security Operations “NSOC” in ensuring the safety of our digital systems and protecting our national economy from the increasing cyber threats through achieving the pre -emptive and immediate response to such threats … indicating that commitment to achieving cybersecurity extends to a further protection of structure Infrastructure to include the empowerment of society and the economy to prosper in light of a safe digital world, while completing the state’s efforts in harnessing advanced technology to serve societies and enhance the quality of life, which confirms the UAE’s commitment to be a global model for digital security and innovation

Regarding the National Cyber ​​Security Strategy, Dr. Muhammad Al -Kuwaiti said that the strategy is a major step towards building an integrated framework through which everyone works to protect digital transformation and safeguard the nation’s gains … noting that the new strategy embodies the UAE’s keenness to benefit from digital opportunities in parallel while facing the risks associated with it.
His Excellency pointed out the importance of taking advantage of the different experiences and visions of many national frameworks and various international standards, which is reflected in strengthening the state’s position as a global digital destination, and the affirmation of its leadership, which culminated in its first rank within the World Cyber ​​Security Index for 2024.
It is noteworthy that the National Center for Cyber ​​Security Operations NSOC was activated with the aim of protecting the infrastructure and all government assets of the state from cyber threats, and ensuring the continuity of operational operations smoothly and safely.

The center contributes to providing a safe digital work environment that depends on the latest technologies and security solutions that link all security operations centers to various national sectors, in a way that facilitates the circulation and availability of information, and enhances the state’s capabilities in the field of cybersecurity and building specialized competencies in the information security sector, which ensures the provision of comprehensive protection of data and regulations in all sectors.
