It is a technical step that allows travelers to complete biometric fingerprint procedures digitally via their smartphones immediately upon entering the port’s courtyards, which eliminates the need to use traditional fingerprint scanning devices at passport booths and speeds up the pace of crossing.

The new mechanism relies on direct digital link technology, where the traveler must enter the settings of the “Nafath” application and choose a service. “Entry Devices” and then go to the “Located Verification” option to begin the process before reaching the competent employee.
This service requires activating the “Bluetooth” feature on the mobile phone to ensure a secure technical connection between the beneficiary’s device and the systems operating the port, allowing automatic identification of the traveler’s identity and geographical location with high accuracy within the customs campus.
The system begins performing biometric matching as soon as the traveler presses the start icon within the application, so that the identity verification and processing process is completed. Data in a few seconds while the traveler is inside his vehicle and without the need to leave it or make a long stop.
This step aims to significantly reduce waiting time at passport control points, as the service eliminates the need to repeatedly place fingers on traditional scanning devices that may take longer to read and manually match.

This initiative comes within the framework of employing smart solutions to facilitate traffic flow in one of the busiest land ports in the country. The region, benefiting from the advanced digital infrastructure of the national unified access platform.
Travelers are advised to begin the verification procedures immediately upon entering the port gate to save time, ensuring that their data is ready on the passport staff’s screens the moment the vehicle arrives at the final crossing point.
This digital transformation reflects the integration of Saudi government services and its endeavor to improve the experience of beneficiaries by replacing physical routine procedures with safe and fast technical solutions that are in line with the number of travelers.
