International Chamber of Commerce – Emirates holds its fourth meeting

Dubai, July 2 / WAM / The Board of Directors of the International Chamber of Commerce – the Emirates held its fourth meeting at the headquarters of Dubai Chambers yesterday, where he announced the selection of Salem Al Shamsi, Vice President of International Relations in the Chambers of Dubai, Secretary General of the International Trade Chamber – Emirates.
The meeting, which was chaired by Hamid bin Salem, President of the International Chamber of Commerce – the Emirates, witnessed a tribute to the election of the Director General of Dubai Chambers as a member of the Executive Board of Directors of the ICC Chamber of Commerce, which includes more than 45 million companies around the world.
Ibn Salem stressed that this achievement represents a culmination of close cooperation between the International Chamber of Commerce – the Emirates and Dubai Chambers, and reflects the pioneering position occupied by the UAE on the global economic scene.
He said that joining the Executive Board of the International Chamber of Commerce is a strategic gain that enhances the UAE’s ability to influence the formulation of the international trade agenda and participate in the development of global economic policies, especially those related to the business environment and corporate growth.
He added that this step contributes to consolidating the UAE’s position as an advanced commercial and investment center, and opens new horizons to enhance innovation and implement practices that will raise business efficiency and enhance the competitiveness of the Emirati private sector at the regional and international levels.
The meeting also witnessed the honor of Hassan Al -Hashemi on the occasion of the end of his duties as the Secretary -General of the International Chamber of Commerce – the Emirates after ten years of service, as the council praised the high level of performance and dedication shown by Al -Hashemi in supporting the Chamber’s march and achieving its goals in serving the Emirati business sector and enhancing its global presence.
