"Civil aviation" Three prizes are won at the Govmedia Awards 2025 party
Abu Dhabi, July 2 / WAM / The General Civil Aviation Authority won three prestigious awards at the Govmedia Awards 2025 Awards held in Singapore, for three strategic initiatives in the areas of cybersecurity for the aviation sector, community awareness, and the development of leadership competencies.
In the category of the “Cyber Security Initiative of the year – the aviation sector”, the authority won the initiative to enhance cybersecurity for civil aviation, which was launched in response to the growing global cyber threats, as the initiative contributed to setting an integrated national framework that includes preparing a national strategy for cybersecurity in the aviation sector, establishing specialized committees, developing policies and guidelines, along with the establishment of a digital platform and an electronic resource center For the aviation community, as well as concrete results, which were to reduce the attempts of the attack by 30% and accelerate the response by 50% during its first year.
In the category of “Campaign – Aviation Sector”, the authority won its societal campaign “We love our sky”, which succeeded in delivering aviation messages to all groups of society in an innovative and interactive way, as the campaign included digitally content, visual stories and educational experiences, with the participation of more than 36 strategic partners from government and private agencies.
The authority attracted thousands of participants and interactions across digital platforms, which contributed to promoting public awareness of the importance of safety and security.
As for the category of “Training Program for the Year – Aviation Sector”, the authority won the leadership preparation program, which is an institutional development program aimed at building a leadership generation qualified to lead the transformation within the authority.
The program is based on developing strategic thinking skills, crisis management, and decision -making, and is presented through interactive workshops and practical case studies.
According to the authority, this coronation is a reflection of its vision in sustainable investment in national capabilities, and its leadership in developing the aviation sector according to the highest international standards, in order to enhance the UAE’s position as a global center for innovation in the aviation industry.
