The control committees set a comprehensive plan to address drug smuggling and trafficking in it

Abu Dhabi, July 5/ WAM/ The anti -drug trafficking and smuggling combat committees of the Anti -Narcotics Council held a coordination meeting to discuss ways to confront the attempts of drug smuggling and trafficking gangs, studying the methods followed by those cross -border gangs, smuggling plans and the means of concealment, and the potential alternative means that these gangs may use, And its influence on the stability of the situation in the region.

The attendees reviewed the activities of the land, air, air and sea transport movement of the state, the guarantees of its stability and growth, and the prevention of their exploitation by the International Drug Trading Gangs, with the participation of members of the two committees of drug control managers and officers, the leadership of the National Guard, and the Federal Customs.

The meeting also discussed the scenarios that may be used by drug smuggling gangs, airport airports, seaports and basic and alternative border ports, which is likely to be used as launching stations for international drug smuggling gangs, which target the state in its criminal activity.

The two committees agreed to draw a work plan that includes several measures to prevent and thwart attempts to bring drugs to the state and trafficking in it.

This meeting comes based on the strategic directions of the Drug Enforcement Council, which is the national umbrella of the drug scourge in the country, by enhancing the integrative work of law enforcement devices concerned with preventing drug smuggling to the state.
