The US Treasury Secretary expects “large” commercial agreements in the coming days

US Treasury Secretary Scott Besent said on Sunday that the United States is close to reaching a number of commercial agreements before the date of July 9th, in which high customs duties are in effect, expecting several large ads in the coming days.
Pesent told CNN that the administration of President Donald Trump will also send messages to 100 countries that are not collected by significant trade transactions in the United States, to notify it that it will face higher customs duties that were initially determined on April 2 before its suspension until the ninth of July.
He said: “President Trump will send messages to some of our commercial partners in which he says (If you do not move things, we will return in the first of August to the level of customs duties that were determined for you on April 2). So I think we will witness very quickly the conclusion of many agreements,” as he put it.
