"Abu Dhabi Economy" and"Keita" They sign a memorandum of understanding to exchange data and enhance the logistics and delivery services sector

ABU DHABI, 26th February, 2017 (WAM) – The Department of Economic Development – Abu Dhabi signed a memorandum of understanding with the “Kita” international platform for on-demand delivery services, supported by the technologically pioneering company, “Meituan”, with the aim of facilitating the exchange of data and knowledge, enhancing technical cooperation to support food delivery, transportation and logistics activities in the emirate, and developing policies based on accurate data to attract investments and support companies.
Under the memorandum, whose signing was witnessed by His Excellency Hamad Sayyah Al Mazrouei, Undersecretary of the Department of Economic Development – Abu Dhabi, the two parties will work to exchange quantitative and qualitative data related to operational processes, market performance, sectoral trends, and consumer behavior, allowing comprehensive assessments that support the policy-making process to deal with market challenges. The partnership also attaches great importance to the exchange of knowledge and capacity building by organizing workshops, seminars, and joint training sessions for work teams to enhance analytical skills.
His Excellency Mohammed Al Shaiba Al Sheryani, Acting Director General of Economic Affairs at the Department of Economic Development – Abu Dhabi, stressed that this cooperation reflects the commitment to strengthening data-based policies and strengthening partnerships with the private sector to accelerate growth and economic diversification, indicating that benefiting from high-quality data and technical expertise will contribute to understanding market dynamics, supporting a possible regulatory environment, and consolidating Abu Dhabi’s position as a preferred destination for talent, investments and businesses.
Lucas Exe, General Manager of Kita in the Emirates, explained that the memorandum reflects a joint commitment to building a flexible and future-ready economic system based on knowledge and data. He said that the company seeks, through this cooperation, to support decision-making processes and organizational development by sharing operational visions and lessons learned, stressing that the focus on exchanging knowledge represents an added value that enhances the integration of efforts and supports a more efficient and sustainable business environment in the emirate.
