The circuit of Dr. Sultan Al Qasimi recalls the ruler of Sharjah to obtain an honorary doctorate from the University of Paris Dedro

Sharjah, July 7/ WAM/ Dr. Sultan Al -Qasimi’s circuit, as part of a “scientific degree” project for the month of July, recalled that His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, obtained an honorary doctorate from Paris Dedro University, “The Seventh Paris”, in an official ceremony held on March 16, 2012 in the French capital, Paris.

This scientific honor embodies in appreciation of the prominent role of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah in supporting scientific research, spreading culture and arts and developing education at the local and international levels, in addition to His Highness’s continuous keenness to enhance the bridges of rapprochement between Arab culture and the various cultures of the world in a way that contributes to establishing the values ​​of human understanding and drawing the features of a brighter future for humanity.

During the honoring ceremony, which was held at the university’s headquarters at that time, His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah delivered a speech in which he expressed his pride in this appreciation, stressing that an honorary doctorate represents a pride medal that will remain engraved in memory.

His Highness said: “We are pleased to express our deep appreciation of the President of the French Republic and His Excellency the Ministers to support them joint initiatives that enhance cooperation between the United Arab Emirates and the French Republic in particular with the Emirate of Sharjah in vital areas such as education, health, renewable energy, the environment and the arts.”

His Highness appreciated the prominent scientific role of the University of Paris Dedro, praising the cooperation between the French Medical Research Authority team, the University of Sharjah and the Sharjah Academy of Research, which resulted in qualitative research projects during a short period of time.

At the end of the ceremony, His Highness wrote a word of thanks in the Golden Registry of the University and the Museum of Dermatology, in which he expressed his admiration for the commitment of the university to develop scientific research and upgrade academic knowledge.

The University of Paris Dedro is one of the most ancient academic institutions in France, as it was founded in the middle of the twelfth century and carried its current name since 1994 after it officially left the Paris University in 1970 and the university has a prominent position in the fields of medicine, science and humanities.

This international honor confirms the high status of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah globally and reflects the appreciation due for his continuous contributions to supporting the march of cultural and cognitive renaissance and consolidating the position of the Emirate of Sharjah as a pioneering model in human development and cultural progress.
