"Emirates Intellectual Property" Participate in meetings "The General Waybu “in Geneva
Dubai, July 8 / WAM / The Emirates Intellectual Property Society participates in the meetings of the General Assembly of the World Intellectual Property Organization (Waybu) in its 66th session, which was launched today at the organization’s headquarters in Geneva in Switzerland, and will continue until July 17, with the participation of official delegations and representatives of the member states and relevant international organizations.
The association’s delegation is headed by Major General Abdul Quddus Abdul -Razzaq Al -Obaidli, Assistant Commander in Chief for Excellence and Entrepreneurship in Dubai Police, President of the Emirates Intellectual Property Association. Major General Dr. Abdul Quddus Abdul -Razzaq Al -Obaidli said that the association’s participation in these meetings of the “Waybu” general assembly embodies the UAE’s commitment to supporting the global system for the protection of intellectual property, and the promotion of international partnerships in this vital sector, which is an essential pillar in the economy based on innovation and knowledge.
He stressed the keenness of the Emirates Intellectual Property Association to contribute effectively to drawing the features of the future of this sector, by exchanging experiences with member states, and seeing the latest initiatives and trends, in order to establish the UAE’s position as a leading regional center in protecting intellectual rights and encouraging creativity.
He explained that the association seeks to enhance cooperation with various specialized international bodies and organizations, and to keep pace with legislative and technical developments in intellectual property rights protection systems at the global level, in a way that contributes to the consolidation of the Emirates position as an active player in this vital field.
