Bahrain welcomes the UAE’s efforts to save the crew of a commercial ship in the Red Sea
Manama, on July 8 / WAM / The Kingdom of Bahrain expressed its welcome and appreciation for the efforts of the UAE in saving the crew of the Magic Cies, after being targeted in the waters of the Red Sea, valuing its effective and responsible humanitarian response, urgent coordination and fruitful cooperation with international maritime authorities, including the UK’s Maritime Transport Authority.
In a statement broadcast by the Bahrain Press Agency, the Bahraini Foreign Ministry expressed its strong condemnation of the attack that targeted the commercial ship and its civil crew while crossing the waters of the Red Sea, as a threat to navigation lines, international trade and the marine environment.
It called for the concerted regional and international efforts to preserve maritime security and the safety of waterways, and to establish peace and stability in the region and the world, according to adherence to the principles of international law and relevant international agreements.
