Macron calls for joint recognition of the State of Palestine by Paris and London

Today, French President Emmanuel Macron called for a joint recognition of the State of Palestine by France and the United Kingdom, considering that it is the “only way that leads to a peace horizon” between Israel and the Palestinians.

“I believe in the future of the two -state solution (…) I believe in the necessity of uniting our voices in Paris and London and everywhere to recognize the state of Palestine and launch this political dynamism that alone leads to a horizon of peace,” Macron said in a joint press conference with British Prime Minister Kiir Starmer.
