"The general community" Emirati vision to consolidate national cohesion and promoting sustainable prosperity

Abu Dhabi, July 12 / WAM / The “Year of Society” in the UAE embodies the vision of wise leadership in consolidating a coherent and interrelated society, as the state is a model to embrace cultural diversity and coexistence, as it embraces more than 200 nationalities that enjoy security and coexistence in an environment that is in harmony and peace.
The “Year of Society” 2025 comes as a national initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, under the slogan “Hand in Hand” with the aim of enhancing societal cohesion, supporting family ties and enabling individuals to launch their energies to contribute to building a more comprehensive and sustainable society.
The “Society Year” contributes to supporting societal interaction, enhancing the opportunities for participation and consolidating the principle of joint societal responsibility to preserve the Emirati values that are rooted and rooted in ambition, humanity, optimism, flexibility, originality and openness, all of which are basic foundations in building a prosperous society in which everyone feels a spirit of belonging and responsibility.

The “General Society” initiatives are inspired by the spirit of the ancient Emirati heritage and the authentic national identity based on solidarity and solidarity, as Emirati culture and traditions are a pillar present in various aspects of initiatives in support of the promotion of ties between generations and the consolidation of cultural heritage as part of daily life.

The year also witnesses effective cooperation between the public and private sectors to implement programs and initiatives that support national competencies and contribute to opening new professional prospects, improving income levels and enhancing the contribution of individuals to the national economy.

The “Year of Society” pays special attention to youth through initiatives that enable them to invest their energies, the most prominent of which is the “Emirati neighborhood” initiative launched by the Federal Youth Foundation in cooperation with the Fatima bint Mohammed bin Zayed initiative, which allows young people to display their local products at Dubai International Airport.
The initiatives also include the “Future Family” implemented by the Social Services Department in Sharjah to encourage young people to marry and family stability through awareness programs, financial, logistical support, family and health consultations.

The year is also focused on supporting and empowering people of determination through initiatives that include the development of services allocated to them and raising societal awareness of their rights and needs, and initiatives such as those launched by the Ajman government that seek to improve the quality of life for people of determination are highlighted in addition to an initiative for “people of determination” supervised by the Community Development Authority in Dubai that provide integrated health services that include clinical examination, dentistry, vision and others.

Senior citizens have special sponsorship, as the “Society Year” highlights their support through initiatives such as “Weakak” launched by the Dubai Health Authority to provide health services, and “Our blessing” implemented by the Community Development Department in cooperation with the Family Development Foundation in Abu Dhabi to improve the quality of the lives of senior citizens and support for careful careers within an integrated family and community framework, in addition to the “Varraj Olympic” organized by the Department of Social Services in the Department of Social Services in Sharjah, during which it offers entertainment and sports programs for the elderly in parks and clubs, to enhance their societal participation.

He said that the “Year of Society” is consistent with the principles of “We Emirates 2031”, which celebrates the national identity and calls on everyone to participate actively in the development process through initiatives that enhance belonging and enable individuals to make a positive impact on their societies, noting that “the year of society” represents an invitation to build a coherent system that enhances solidarity and social responsibility in a way that establishes the position of the UAE within the ranks of developed countries in Its percentage is 2071.
