The European Union and Indonesia are reaching a political agreement on free trade

Brussels, July 13/ WAM/ Ursula von der Line, President of the European Commission, announced today a political agreement to move forward in the free trade agreement between the European Union and Indonesia.
Von der Line said during a joint press conference with Indonesian President Prabu Sobanto that the commercial deal called “CEPA for the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement” will provide more opportunities in major fields and industries such as agriculture and the auto sector.
For his part, the Indonesian President said that “there is a lot of capabilities that our commercial relationship has not covered and therefore this agreement comes in time to open new markets for both sides.”
