The UAE will host the first efficiency test in the Japanese language next December

The Japanese embassy in Abu Dhabi confirmed that cultural and educational relations between Japan and the United Arab Emirates have witnessed a remarkable development in recent years, driven by growing common interest in academic exchange and enhancing language understanding and culture.
A statement by the embassy stated that this rapprochement was reflected in a series of qualitative initiatives that aimed to enhance the presence of the Japanese culture and language within society in the state, which contributed to the consolidation of the bridges of understanding and communication between the two peoples.
He pointed out that one of the most prominent developments in this growing partnership between Japan and the UAE, to include the efficiency test in Japanese (JLPT) Inside the country, noting that on June 18, 2025, the Japan Foundation signed a cooperation agreement with the Center for Continuing Education (CEC) At the United Arab Emirates, it allows the test to be officially taken at the center’s headquarters in Al Ain.
