Dubai Wet Festival launches rare types that have been cloning in laboratories

He noted that this year’s session is witnessing a remarkable development in the quality of the posts and an increase in the interest of farmers and fans of the palm, noting that the great success achieved by the first session was a solid basis for building and developing it.
Al -Suwaidi said that the second session comes as a continuation of a march that started last year and faced at the beginning a number of challenges, but it established fixed rules on which it was built in the current version that witnessed an expansion in the volume of participation.
He explained that the approved arbitration criteria did not change and include quality, taste, size, color and symmetry, stressing that the goal of the festival is not limited to competition, but rather transcends it to encourage the preservation of the palm and enhance diversity in its classes and raise societal awareness of its economic, agricultural and heritage importance.
He stressed that the festival is not limited to competitions and offers, but also includes an awareness pavilion in which specialized companies and laboratories are participating through which workshops and educational lectures are presented to farmers and those interested in the field of palm trees with the aim of raising their efficiency in agriculture, care and pest control, and revealed the organization of a special auction for the best palm types in cooperation with the UAE for auctions that continue throughout the festival period and gives the public an opportunity to acquire varieties Distinctive palm.
Al -Suwaidi stressed that the Dubai Wet Festival has become a heritage and economic platform that contributes to reviving the symbolism of the palm and enhancing the sustainability of this vital sector, noting that interest in rare varieties and providing high -quality products contributes to building international Emirati brands.
