The Ministry of Education has set 6 requirements for the adoption of a public education institution in the emirates of “Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah”, where it works under the supervision and follow -up of the ministry.
Prior approval
The Emirates Today monitored through the official website of the Ministry of Education, the details of the service of “requesting the adoption of a private public education announcement”, which allows private educational institutions licensed by the ministry to apply for prior approval to publish their ads through various media, within clear organizational controls aimed at controlling media content related to the educational sector, and ensuring its compatibility with legal and professional standards.
Institutional identity
According to what was stated on the official website, the ministry requires that the announcement not include the name or slogan of the ministry, in any formula, in order to preserve the institutional identity and to prevent any use that may suggest a direct official association with the content of the advertising. The educational institution is also required to attach a copy of the advertisement to be approved in PDF format, provided that the file size does not exceed 2 MB per document.
Clear approvals
The published conditions also stipulate the necessity of obtaining clear approvals from the rights holders related to the advertisement, and the approval of the parents includes in the event that the advertisement includes pictures of students, the approval of the persons apparent in the advertisement, if the pictures are for individuals who are not students, and the approval of the owner of the pictures or the materials used, in the event that the pictures are taken from websites or other institutions.

These controls confirm the Ministry’s keenness to protect the rights of individuals and institutions, and to preserve the privacy of students and participants in media materials, as well as ensuring the commitment of educational institutions to vocational publishing rules and respect for intellectual property.
