The “Fine City” metro station in Atlanta witnessed a stampede accident last Tuesday morning, after the end of the international singer Beyoncé’s concert as part of her singing tour, “Copoy Carter”, which resulted in the injury of 11 people.

The stampede occurred at an electric ladder at the station of the Rapid Transport Authority in Atlanta (Marta), where the ladder accelerated and then suddenly stopped, causing a number of passengers on each other.

The commission spokeswoman, Stephanie Fischer, reported that the state of panic started when one of the attendees shouted and ran, while preliminary investigations revealed that the cry of a 10 -year -old girl after seeing a “cockroach” outside the station led to collective panic.

The accident resulted in an ankle fracture, and seven were taken to the hospital, while others received treatment at the site or later. The peace manufacturer “Shendler” confirmed the opening of a joint investigation with the Transport Authority, amid continuing investigations to find out the exact causes of the accident.

The media also circulated videos documenting passengers amid screams and appeals, with calls to enhance safety measures in transport facilities during major events. (Arm News)
