Coalition "Air Arabia" and"Nesma Group" and"Be Holding" It wins the creation of a new air carrier

Sharjah, July 20 / WAM / The coalition consisting of “Air Arabia”, “Nesma Group” and “Ken Holding Company” announced that it won the competition of the General Authority of Civil Aviation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to establish and operate a new national economic air carrier that is taken from King Fahd International Airport in Dammam as its headquarters and aims to enhance the local and international air links of the eastern region.

This victory is the culmination of a joint vision and a strategic partnership between the three parties that focuses on providing an operating model that supports the targets of the aviation program emanating from the national transport and logistical strategy and enhances the quality of services provided to travelers and contributes to advancing the national economic growth.

Adel Al -Ali, CEO of the Arab Aviation Group, explained that we are proud of our choice by the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) for the launch of a new national economic carrier based in Dammam and we extend our sincere thanks to the authority for its confidence in us and as a pioneering operator of economic aviation in the region. Faisal bin Saleh Al -Turki, head of the Nesma Group and Muhammad bin Nabil Hefni, CEO of Ken Holding Company, expressed their pride, as they are part of this ambitious national step, which represents the fruit of a strategic partnership with the Arab Air Group and is consistent with the remarkable development of the tourism and aviation sector in the Kingdom.

He explained that the launch of a new economic carrier from Dammam is not limited to being a project for air transport, but is a direct contribution to enhancing tourism infrastructure and stimulating the local economy of the eastern region, including creating quality job opportunities and enabling national competencies and supporting commercial activities related to the sector and we believe that this project embodies the role of the private sector in supporting the targets of Saudi Vision 2030 and reflects the spirit of partnership between the public and private sectors To achieve qualitative leaps in sustainable development and we look forward to this carrier is a role model in integration between local and international efforts, to enhance the Kingdom’s position as a leading tourist destination at the region and the world.

The new national economic carrier will aim to serve 24 local destinations and 57 international destinations across 45 aircraft in 2030, which enhances the Kingdom’s air linking and reaches approximately 10 million passengers annually from the city of Dammam and the Eastern Region, and it will provide more than 2,400 direct jobs in the sector, support tourism and support the local economic growth of the eastern region.
