“Louis Vuitton” .. the first company to benefit from a “unified free zones license”

Yesterday, the Dubai Free Zones Council announced the implementation of the “Unified Free Zones License” initiative that aims to enable companies to work in various free zones in the Emirate of Dubai, and stated, in a statement, that the initiative allows companies to manage their operations in all free zones with one license and simplified procedures.

The Dubai World Trade Center Authority, which runs the center’s free zone, has received the luxurious “Louis Vuitton” brand as the first company to benefit from the initiative, and the company will supervise its warehouses operations in the free zone in Jabal Ali, in addition to the opening of its main office in the “One Zabeel” project of the Free Zone of the Dubai World Trade Center.

The Assistant Secretary -General of the Dubai Free Zones Council, Dr. Jumaa Al -Matroushi, said: “The (Unified Free Zones License) initiative is strengthening Dubai’s position as a global economic center, by enabling companies to expand their business smoothly in various free zones in the emirate.”

For his part, the deputy head of the organizational operations of the Free Dubai World Trade Center, Abdullah Al -Banna, said: “The decision (Louis Vuitton) contributes to expanding its operations from the free zone in Jabal Ali (Jafza) to the Free Zone in the Dubai World Trade Center, in enhancing the confidence of global companies in the business system in Dubai, and this innovative initiative enhances the emirate’s ability to attract more international investments.”

In the same context, the Vice President for Licensing and Registration in the Free Zone in Jabal Ali, “Jafza”, Amna Al -Ali, stressed that the initiative represents a qualitative shift in the mechanism of work of free zones in Dubai, as it allows the licensed companies in any free zone to use other free zones facilities in the emirate without the need for an additional license.
