Benefits of walking sport
He said that there are many benefits for walking in different degrees, as they are considered the lighter, simplest and best types of physical activity, and they have many health, physical and psychological benefits, including improving heart health, burning calories and helping in regulating weight, strengthening muscles and bones, especially leg muscles and lower back, improving bone density, improving digestion, regulating bowel movement, improving metabolism, and lowering blood sugar levels.

He added that there are other health benefits, including reducing stress, anxiety and depression, stimulating the secretion of happiness hormones, improving the quality of sleep, increasing focus and attention, stimulating blood circulation in the brain, which enhances perception, and enhances self -confidence.
He added that what distinguishes walking is not the need to go to sports clubs, or sports devices, as well as suitable for all ages, and can be practiced at any time, and it is usually advised that walking is not less than half an hour and an average of 150 minutes per week, while making sure to wear clothes and sports shoes.
The best time to walk in the summer
He pointed out that the best timing to practice walking in the summer is after the Maghrib prayer or dinner according to the person’s circumstances, as the atmosphere in this period is moderate, and this timing is suitable for everyone, especially those with chronic diseases, including diabetes, and here I emphasize the need to compensate the body by consuming water so that the body is in a permanent hydration, as I stress diabetics by not stressing when walking in order to keep the blood sugar level in its normal levels.
Walking protects against diseases
Professor Al -Agha confirmed at the conclusion of his speech that studies have shown that people who persevere in walking regularly are less likely to develop diseases, and that walking is one of the most types of sports that helps in losing excess weight, reduces tension hormone (cortisol) and blood pressure, and increases the feeling of luxury, psychological comfort and happiness.
