المملكة: Saudi -Turkish agreements to localize military industries in the Kingdom

SAMI -the leading national partner of the defense and security sector, one of the public investment fund companies -has signed manufacturing agreements with three leading Turkish companies in the defense industries sector.
In the presence of the Assistant Minister of Defense for Executive Affairs Dr. Khaled bin Hussein Al -Bayari, the Governor of the Public Authority for Military Industries, Eng. Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al -Ohali, and the Chairman of the Defense Industries Authority in the Republic of Türkiye, Professor Khalouk Gorgon,
These agreements, signed by the Executive Vice President of Earth Systems at Sami, Engineer Mohamed bin Saud Al Hudayb, aim to localize the land systems industry in the Kingdom, where the first agreement focuses on transferring technology and manufacturing to military vehicles made by the Turkish company.

Settlement of military industries

While the second agreement for defense industries focused on transferring the technology and manufacture of armored combat vehicles and the weapons towers that the Turkish company specializes in its manufacture, while the third agreement aims to transfer technology and localize manufacturing for combat constellations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and contribute to the localization of these vital systems within the combat vehicles projects.
It is scheduled that the transfers of technology and manufacturing for all these agreements will be through the “Sami Industrial Systems” complex.
This facility will be a center of excellence in the manufacture of armored vehicles and the six -wheel drive and payment, in addition to the armed towers, and the complex works according to the requirements of the fourth industrial revolution, taking advantage of the techniques of artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things and robots, to carry out unmanned advanced operations managed by smart systems without direct human intervention, which enhances efficiency and operational quality.
The ground systems sector in the Saudi Military Industries Company (SAMI) is working to achieve the strategic goals of the company through the effective contribution to the localization of defense industries in the Kingdom by building advanced industrial capabilities and providing high -quality services and products throughout the life of the product according to the requirements of the beneficiaries.
