I forced her to move away .. Iran warns an American destroyer in the Gulf of Oman

Iranian forces have warned an American destroyer in the Gulf of Oman against approaching the water roaming the military pieces of Tehran, according to Iranian official television on Wednesday, while the Pentagon official talked about the “safe and professional” incident that did not affect the mission of the ship.

The television reported that an Iranian military helicopter flew over the destroyer Fitzgerald about 10:00 (06.30 GMT) while the American military ship “was trying to approach the waters of the Islamic Republic’s control.”

The surrender of the American destroyer

The television added that the destroyer was warned in turn, noting that “the Iranian pilot continued his mission firmly, and repeated his warning to move away from Iranian waters.”

He explained that, as a result, the destroyed Iranian forces ordered to change their path and the trend towards the south, forcing the ship to surrender and return its drawers.

A safe and professional incident

An official at the US Defense Department spoke about a “safe and professional” incident between the ship and an Iranian Cing Helicopter “in international waters.

He stressed that the incident “had no effect on the task of the destroyer Fitzgerald,” stressing that “any reports claim otherwise are lies.”

Clashes have previously occurred between the forces of the two countries in waters off southern Iran, especially in the Gulf of Oman.

In 2023, Tehran announced that it forced an American submarine to climb to the surface while crossing the Strait of Hormuz, which Washington denied.

The last incident comes about a month after the United States launched strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, in the midst of a 12 -day war between Israel and the Islamic Republic.
