Under the patronage of the Ruler of Sharjah .. The conclusion of the 4 Arab Poetry Forum in Mali

Bamako, on July 28/ WAM/ Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, the Department of Culture in Sharjah concluded yesterday evening in the financial capital Bamako, the activities of the fourth Arab poetic forum with the participation of more than 20 poets and poets from Mali, amid a distinguished cultural and literary presence.

The forum was held for two days in cooperation with the “Al -Bayan” literary association in Mali, as part of the initiative of Arab poetry forums in Africa, which aims to translate the continuous Sharjah efforts to enhance the presence of Arab poetry on the continent and support cultural exchange between peoples.

The event was attended by a number of academic and cultural personalities, including the president of the “Al -Bayan” Association, Dr. Abdul Samad Mega, as well as students and an audience of poetry lovers.

The organizers of the forum emphasized that this session came as a continuation of the successes achieved by the previous copies, with a focus on supporting young poetic talents and honoring local literary symbols, which enhances the value of poetry in the financial community.

Dr. Abdel -Qader Idris Mega, the forum coordinator, praised the leadership role of Sharjah in supporting Arab culture in Africa, stressing that this forum has become an annual tradition awaited by Arab poetry lovers in Mali, and expressed his thanks to His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah for his generous care and continuous support for Arab culture and poetry everywhere.

Mega pointed out that these gatherings, since their inception, constituted a platform for poets in Mali in order to express their visions and present their voices to the world with confidence and pride, and contributed to discovering new talents and promoting awareness of poetry as a cultural lever.
