Dubai Municipality carries out more than 34,000 supervisory visits during the first half
Dubai, July 30 /WAM /Dubai Municipality announced the outcome of its supervisory and inspection efforts in the field of food safety during the first half of this year 2025, when it carried out 34 thousand and 700 inspection visits to food institutions throughout the emirate.
During the first half of the year 2025, the Dubai Food Sector witnessed exceptional growth, with the opening of about 2336 new food institutions, and 173 thousand and 775 food shipments were released through the emirate’s outlets with a total weight of 4.9 million tons.
The municipality recorded the release of 940 thousand food items after conducting the necessary checks with the registration of 77 thousand and 700 new food products in the approved databases, which reflects the efficiency and flexibility of the food registration system and ensuring their compatibility with food safety standards.
Dr. Sultan Al -Taher, Director of the Food Safety Department in Dubai Municipality, stressed that maintaining the health and safety of food is one of the pillars of promoting the quality of life in the emirate, pointing out that these achievements prove the continuous efforts of the Dubai Municipality in building an integrated and sustainable diet.
