The summer football academies in Dubai starts today

Today, the summer session of the football academies, organized by the Dubai Sports Council, will start in implementation of its policy to attract and develop emerging sporting talents, and a translation of the directives of the Dubai government in the field of attracting talents and developing them in all disciplines, and aims to enhance the readiness of young and youth teams in Dubai Football Clubs, in preparation for the resumption of activity for the sports season 2025-2026, Its competition will continue until August 13. A press release from the Dubai Sports Council said: “This annual session comes within the series of development initiatives, launched by the Dubai Sports Council, with the aim of strengthening the competitive environment for young players, and giving them the opportunity to contact their peers in real matches that contribute to raising their physical and technical efficiency before the start of the official season.”

The course is of great importance, as it represents an important technical station to test the levels of players and evaluate the readiness of the teams in an actual competitive environment, as well as the technical and administrative bodies in the academies the opportunity to identify the capabilities of the players, identify the elements of strength and weakness, as well as enhance teamwork and develop tactical intelligence among players in different age groups.

The organizing committee held a coordination meeting with the managers of the academies participating in the session, during which technical regulations, matches schedule, the mechanism of competition management, and coordination with the Emirates Football Association were reviewed regarding the appointment of referees for matches, ensuring the success of the event and achieving its maximum benefit at various levels.

The course is held within five age groups that include under 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17 years, and matches are distributed to a number of Dubai clubs, according to the following: the competitions of two categories under 17 and 16 years are held in Al -Ahly Youth Club, a category under 15 years in Al -Nasr Club, and a category under 14 years in Al Wasl Club, while the category under 13 years of “Dubai Sports World” at the Dubai World Trade Center, and participates in the championship seven A team represents a group of local and regional academies, namely: Al -Ahly, Al -Wasl, Al -Nasr, Hatta, Saudi Youth, Generaz Academy and Al -Furjan Academy.

The course will be launched with a category under 14 years, which will be held in Al -Wasl Club, today, with victory with Hatta, followed by Al -Wasl meeting with Al -Ahly youth.

The championship matches are held in the same group system of one round, where each team meets with the rest of the teams within its group once, and the champion of the category is determined according to the highest balance of points at the end of the competitions, and the organizing committee adopted an innovative technical mechanism represented in the implementation of penalty shootouts immediately after the end of each match, regardless of its result, with the aim of training players to settle under pressure, and develop the performance of goalkeepers in addressing penalty kicks, including It enhances the readiness of the teams for official matches.
