The Islamic Military Alliance to Combat Terrorism today concluded the specialized training course, which was held in the lunar capital, Moroni, entitled “Fighting terrorist financing and money laundering-founding level”, and extended for five days within the framework of the strategic “building” initiative.
The closing ceremony came in the presence of the Director of the Office of the Republic in charge of Defense, Youssef Mohamed Ali, Director of the Office of the Minister of Finance and Budget and the Banking Sector in the United Republic of the United Nations, Syed Abdullah Abdul Karim, and a number of senior civil and military officials, and representatives of the supervisory authorities and financial institutions.

Islamic coalition programs

During the closing words, they praised such qualitative programs in building the capabilities of countries and enhancing the institutional structure of the financial and security sectors.
They emphasized that cooperation with the Islamic coalition is an important building block in developing the capabilities of dealing with money laundering crimes and terrorist financing, which has become a direct threat to the stability of national economies and societies.

The course targeted the enabling of the participants in judicial and supervisory authorities and law enforcement institutions, as well as the financial and non -financial sectors, with modern technical and knowledge tools to enhance their competencies in detecting and preventing financial crimes related to terrorism.

It included axes that included national and international legal frameworks, suspicious financial patterns analysis, regional and international cooperation, compliance and prevention strategies, and the role of the media in raising societal awareness.

The organization of this session comes within the framework of the commitment of the Islamic Military Alliance to fight terrorism to develop and qualify national cadres in accordance with its strategic initiatives in member states, and to enhance the integration between security and economic paths.
