Shamma bint Muhammad looks at the experiences of Japanese institutions in education and sustainability

Tokyo, August 7/ WAM/ Sheikha, Dr. Shamma bint Mohammed bin Khaled Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan Cultural and Educational Institutions, during her visit to the “People Boat” and the International Nature School in the Japanese capital, Tokyo, was informed of their experiences in the fields of peace, education, environment, sustainable development and cultural communication, within the framework of the participation of institutions in the Expo exhibition Osaka 2025.
Sheikha, Dr. Shamma bint Mohammed bin Khaled Al Nahyan, during her visit to the “Salam Ship” Foundation, from Yoshuka Tatsuiya, founder and director of the institution, learned about the activities of the Foundation, which works to spread peace and understanding between the peoples of the world, preserving the environment and supporting sustainability concepts.
She expressed her admiration and appreciation for the institution’s initiatives and goals that meet the goals and nature of projects and programs that are presented within the institutions of Sheikh Mohammed bin Khaled Al Nahyan cultural and educational.
Ways were discussed to enhance joint cooperation between the two institutions, and Sheikha, Dr. Shamma bint Mohammed bin Khaled Al Nahyan, called for Abu Dhabi to be one of the stations of the peace ship during her next trip, and to start contracting a partnership between the two institutions that contribute to promoting the exchange of cultural and educational experiences.
Sheikha, Dr. Shamma bint Mohammed bin Khaled Al Nahyan, at the conclusion of the visit, presented a set of introductory books on the UAE, which included a group of its publications, as part of the Knowledge for Humanity Initiative, which was launched by Sheikha Dr. Shamma Bint Mohammed in 2021 with the aim of establishing the cultural and intellectual presence of the UAE on the international scene, through a dedication of books on the UAE and its leaders, in addition to the selected publications Dr. Shamma Bint Muhammad, to various countries of the world.
Sheikha, Dr. Shamma bint Mohammed bin Khaled Al Nahyan, also visited the “International Nature School” Foundation in Tokyo, which is one of the leading institutions in Japan in the field of linking environment education, through field activities that allow children to discover nature and direct interaction with it, and was received by Sikjuchi Shehiro, Director of Public Relations, who made a detailed presentation on the institution’s programs.
The two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the two institutions in a way that contributes to enhancing environmental awareness of children in both countries, and exchanging educational knowledge and experience.
At the end of the meeting, a group of introductory books on the UAE were presented, which included the story of the children “Jeddah Hamdan’s Treasure”, written by Sheikha Rawda Bint Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to Sikijuchi Shehiro.
The visits of Sheikha Dr. Shamma bint Mohammed bin Khaled Al Nahyan come in the context of keenness to enhance international cooperation, benefit from leading societal and educational experiences, and support initiatives that serve peace and the environment, while efforts to support the “Knowledge for Humanity” initiative, which aims to spread Emirati culture, are continuing.
