Emirates .. a sustainable global destination for major combat tournaments

Abu Dhabi, August 9 / WAM / The UAE has established, through its successful hosting of the World Martial Arts Championships for Juniors in Abu Dhabi for four consecutive years, its sustainable superiority as a leading global destination for combat sports, stressing the confidence of the international sports community in its exceptional organizational capabilities.

This success was evident in the tremendous growth of the championship, which started in its first version in 2021 in Italy, where the copies organized by the UAE recorded a record participation that started from 200 players, up to 1,000 players in the sixth edition in Al Ain.

The championship is a platform for the champions industry, in this age group, and a meeting place for rapprochement between peoples, especially as it is witnessing a distinguished presence from all over the world, and embodies the distinguished experiences of the UAE in the professional organization of events.
The Emirates Jujitsu Federation and Mixed Martial Arts, in cooperation with the International Federation for the game and partners, undertakes great efforts in the development of the tournament, and provides an integrated system of professional work in its preparation stages, leading to hosting it and honoring the winners in its various categories.
The mixed combat sports that the UAE features hosts, such as Jujitsu, Grabling, Abu Dhabi Extreme, UFC, and Moe Tai, which recorded great success, attracted the world’s attention, and made it an international center for these sports and a favorite destination for the most prominent world stars.
Youssef Abdullah Al -Batran, a member of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Federation of Jujitsu and Mixed Martial Arts, said that this year’s edition, which is the sixth of the World Mixed Martial Arts Championship for Junior, which is hosted by Al Ain region, is a new evidence of the excellence of the UAE in hosting these competitions, especially as it witnessed the participation of more than 1,000 players from 60 countries, in different age groups.
He explained that the tournament translates the vision, support and care of the rational leadership to prepare future champions, and to pay attention to enabling the sons and daughters of the Emirates from global competitive capabilities, with the great legacy it represents, and the honorable image provided by the UAE in organizing and hosting sports events.
He added that the tournament goes beyond its traditional concept, to more than that, given its pivotal role in promoting acquaintance between different cultures, stressing at the same time the Board of Directors of the Emirates Federation for Jujitsu and Mixed Martial Arts, to highlight the position of the UAE global in the development of mixed martial arts, according to international best practices, and to build a solid base of heroes, to raise the flag of the UAE in the podiums.
In turn, Wissam Abi Nader, Vice President of the International Federation of Martial Martial Arts, said that the success of the UAE and the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in organizing mixed martial arts, and the World Junior Championship, had a tangible impact on the consolidation of the global position of the UAE, attracting world champions, and contributing to the technical development of the participating teams, and promising elements of future champions.
He noted the importance of the strategic partnership with the Emirates Jujitsu Federation and mixed martial arts in organizing sports championships and events, especially since the UAE plays a pivotal role in supporting the success of events for mixed martial arts in view of the great success of the last championship, which witnessed the participation of more than 1,000 players who represent more than 60 countries, in addition to the great cultural diversity in the fans who followed their competitions, and the presence of parents To encourage their children in competitive events.
The coach Ibrahim Al -Hosani pointed to the great importance represented by the World Martial Martial Arts Championship for the junior category in discovering talents, highlighting the capabilities and skills of the people of the Emirates in this age stage, and said that Abu Dhabi hosting the tournament activities for 4 years in a row, contributed to the emergence of many heroes, and won the first places and colored medals.
He explained that the growth of competitions year after year, and the increasing number of participants in its activities, and the great development in the levels of the UAE champions, enhances the emergence of the future champions, their distinguished capabilities, and their global competition, in addition to friction and gaining experiences, in light of the distinguished participation of the elite of the heroes from all over the world.
Al -Hosani stressed that the tournament is an important pillar in the development plans to reach the people of the UAE to the coronation platforms, especially since the current version targeted a category between 10 years and 12 years.
