The Emergency and Crises Team in Sharjah confirms the control of a warehouse fire without any injuries

Sharjah, on August 9 / WAM / The local team of emergency, crisis and disasters in the Emirate of Sharjah affirmed full control of a fire that broke out yesterday evening in one of the clothing warehouses in the second free zone in Hamriya, without registering any human injuries.

His Excellency Brigadier Omar Al -Ghazal, Director General of the General Administration of Operations and Security Support, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Team in Sharjah, explained that the specialized teams dealt with the accident with high field efficiency and professionalism, according to an integrated response plan aimed at controlling the fire and securing its surroundings, which contributed to its containment and preventing its extension to neighboring sites, and reducing possible damage.

For his part, Brigadier Saeed Al -Suwaidi, Deputy Director General of the Sharjah Civil Defense Authority, member of the Executive Committee of the team, said that the civil defense teams managed to control the fire in a record time in a reflection of high readiness and tight coordination between the relevant field authorities, to ensure the protection of lives and property and maintain public safety.

He added that the teams concerned are currently continuing to implement the cooling operations to ensure the safety of the site and prevent renewed fire, while the competent authorities began the necessary investigations to determine the causes of the fire.

The emergency, crisis and disaster management team in Sharjah appreciated the efforts and cooperation of the field teams participating in responding to the incident, which are the General Command of Civil Defense in Dubai, the general departments of civil defense in Ajman, Umm Al Quwain and Fujairah, the Municipality of Sharjah, the Hamriyah Municipality, the Free Zone in Al -Hamriya, and Marwan Company.
He stressed that this cooperation embodies the readiness of the national emergency response system, and reflects the spirit of joint institutional work to preserve the safety of society and its properties.
