Under the patronage of Mohamed Al Sharqi, the start of the 6th Asian Yoga Championship, UAE 2025, at the Zayed Sports Complex in Fujairah
Fujairah on August 9/ WAM/ The Sixth Asian Yoga Championship started today, 2025, in the Zayed Sports Complex in Fujairah, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah.
The championship organized by the Ministry of Sports in cooperation with the Emirates Sports Federation, the Asian Federation of Yugsana and the UAE Yoga Committee is 160 contestants from 16 countries around the world and will continue until August 10.
The tournament includes a number of accompanying events such as the Asian Awards in Yoga and the honor of 6 prominent names from all over Asia to obtain this high honor in appreciation of their efforts in spreading yoga within the state and influencing the lives of individuals and contributing to promoting health, in addition to honoring a number of institutions and individuals who contributed to the development of yoga and spreading peace and preserving cultural heritage around the world.
His Excellency Saeed Al -Aji, Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the tournament, said that the organization of regional and international sports championships reflects the interest of the UAE leadership in developing the sports sector in general, and this tournament comes in line with the vision of the state and its orientations in supporting the specific sports sector and the yogasana sport march in particular and spreading it in the region and enhancing cultural and sports exchange between the peoples of Asia.
The start of the championship was attended by His Excellency Mohammed Al -Dhahouri and His Excellency Sheikha Al -Kaabi, member of the Federal National Council, His Excellency Salem Al -Qusayr, President of the UAE Sports Federation for All, and Nouf Al Mazrouei, President of the Asian Yoga Federation Esta.
