Korea exports decreased by 4.3% during the first 10 days of August

Seoul on August 11/ WAM/ The Republic of Korea’s exports decreased by 4.3 % on an annual basis during the first ten days of August, partly due to the slowdown of exports to the United States against the backdrop of US customs duties procedures, according to data issued by the Korean Customs Department today.
The Korean “Yonhap” news agency reported that the value of the country’s exports amounted to 14.7 billion dollars during the period from 1 to 10 August, compared to 15.4 billion dollars during the same period last year, according to the customs department data.
The value of imports decreased by 13.6 % on an annual basis to 15.9 billion dollars during the same period, which led to a trade deficit of $ 1.2 billion.
Despite the general decrease, the average daily exports value increased by 9.3 % to $ 2.1 billion during the mentioned period.
