"Family development" Organizes the Youth Forum

Abu Dhabi, August 13 / WAM / The Family Development Foundation organized a youth meeting under the slogan “From Wisdom to Ambition” on the occasion of “International Youth Day”, stressing its role in promoting dialogue between generations, and transferring experiences and values from senior citizens to young people, in a way that establishes societal interdependence, to stimulate the creative energies of young people, to enable them to contribute effectively to the path of sustainable development of the state.
The forum reflects the Foundation’s commitment to its vision aimed at empowering the family and enhancing its role in society, by launching initiatives and programs that combine the experience of adults and the vitality of young people, and the availability of platforms for learning, innovation and exchanging experiences, in a manner that ensures the continuation of the bidding march, and to build a coherent society capable of facing the challenges of the present and the future industry.
The forum was attended by His Excellency Maryam Mohamed Al -Rumaithi, Director General of the Family Development Corporation, His Excellency Maryam Muslim Al Mazrouei, Director of the Community Service Department, Family Development Foundation employees, senior citizens, and a number of young people from the Abu Dhabi Youth Council.
His Excellency Maryam Mohamed Al -Rumaithi said that the International Youth Day embodies the Foundation’s insistence on empowering young people and providing them with knowledge and skills that qualify them to lead the march of development and innovation, and to move our country towards wider horizons of leadership and excellence, and we are all confident in their capabilities and pivotal role in making the future, and to value their efforts in developing society, creating solutions and active contribution to achieving sustainable development goals.
She stressed the importance of continuing the efforts that enhance communication between generations, and support the exchange of experiences and values, in a manner that ensures the continuity of giving and building strong bridges of dialogue and communication that links the past with the present and opens wide horizons for the future, at a time when the UAE continues to implement the outcomes of the national youth agenda until 2031.
Al -Rumaithi stressed that the youth are the pillar of the renaissance of the Emirates and the fuel of its developmental career, with their creative energies and promising capabilities, noting that the state has given the establishment of the union and under the wise leadership, which is led by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State “may God protect him”, enables young people a top priority by providing a stimulating environment that enhances their participation in various areas of life.
She pointed to what was provided by Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Emirates”, President of the General Women’s Federation, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Supreme President of the Family Development Foundation, with firm and continuous support for youth efforts, in recognition of the importance of their role in making the future, stressing that her Highness launched the national initiatives and qualitative programs that enhance their capabilities, and open the prospects for learning, training and innovation, It enables them to contribute to various sectors and highlight their creations, in order to establish the UAE’s position as a leading model in investing in youth energies and directing them towards construction and development.
Al -Rumaithi stated that the Family Development Foundation is proud of the UAE’s leadership in enabling its youth through qualitative initiatives, including the establishment of the Emirates Youth Council, the appointment of the Minister of State for Youth Affairs, and raising their representation to 37.5% in the Federal National Council, supporting entrepreneurship and climate work, which made it the favorite destination for Arab youth for the twelfth year in a row, and the state also launched prominent regional initiatives, including the Arab Youth Center in 2017, and the digital platform “Youth opportunities Al -Arabi “2018, and the” Arab Space Gnaps “program in 2020 to embrace Arab competencies in space science, and other inspiring initiatives for young people globally.
The world’s youth congratulated on this occasion, and a speech was addressed to the Emirati youth, saying: “You are the beating present in the future, and the hope that your homelands are attached to its ambitions .. Make from every challenge a chance, and from every experience a lesson, and do not stop learning, innovation and giving, possess the courage to make the change, and stick to your values and identity ”.
For her part, Bahia Al Marzouqi, head of the Youth Skills Development and Capacity Development Department at the Family Development Foundation, said that the forum reviewed four main axes, representing the first axis in “identity and belonging across generations”, and the second dealt with the impact of technology on changing the patterns of social relations, while the third discussed the psychological and social needs of each generation, while the fourth axis focused on the balance between aspirations and responsibilities.
