"Sharjah businesswomen" It confirms his commitment to empowering women economically and enhancing women’s entrepreneurship

Sharjah, August 13 / WAM / The Sharjah Business Women Council, affiliated with the Sharjah Foundation for the support of entrepreneurial projects “Ruwad”, affirmed its continuous commitment to empowering women economically by launching qualitative initiatives and implementing training programs that keep pace with market developments, and support the new generation of business entrepreneurs, in order to enhance Sharjah’s position as a regional center for women’s entrepreneurship.
Modern indicators, according to the Middle East Economy report, showed that 84%of women in the UAE are considering establishing their own projects, led by the women of the millennial generation by 53%, followed by the women of the generation Z by 44%, which reflects the growing awareness of the economic role of women, and the emergence of a new generation of pioneers who possess advanced digital tools and global visions.
At the level of the Arab world, a study prepared by “MasterCard” showed that 81% of business leaders have a digital presence of their projects, through websites or social media platforms, which indicates a noticeable development in employing digital means in the march of economic empowerment for women.
Her Excellency Sheikha Hind bint Majid Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Business Women Council, stressed that the new generation of entrepreneurs seeks to grow and achieve a concrete societal impact, by establishing innovative and sustainable projects, and she said: We in the council are not satisfied with keeping pace with change, but we are working to create an incubator environment that pushes it for growth and influence, so the empowerment of women today goes beyond providing tools to open the horizons of active participation in Formulating the features of the future economy.
She stressed that the accelerating digital transformations requires the transfer and development of skills, and the construction of a generation of women who are able to interact with the changes in the global economy while preserving the cultural identity, noting that the council’s vision is to convert every women’s idea into an economic opportunity, and every local project into a global success story.
In this context, the Council launched a number of programs, including the “Entrepreneurship Program”, in cooperation with the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center “Sharaa”, which includes training camps and workshops covering the fields of financial strategies, leadership, and digital marketing, and also cooperated with “Astro Labs” to organize specialized courses that enhance the digital presence of the members.
On the international level, the Council participated in activities such as “Xcomland North Star 2024”, where 8 emerging institutions led by the women of the Emirate of Sharjah, in addition to organizing commercial missions to Belgium and India, resulted in the signing of cooperation agreements with international women’s organizations, in order to enhance the opportunities for expansion in global markets.
In the context of his keenness to develop its strategies in partnership with its members, the council launched the initiative “Your Voice, our vision”, which is a series of interactive meetings aimed at collecting and including members’ opinions in future action plans, reflecting the council’s approach based on active participation and sustainable development.
The Sharjah Women’s Council continues its efforts in monitoring market transformations and investing in the development of the women’s entrepreneurship system, based on its belief that investing in human energies, especially women, is the basis for building the economy of the future based on innovation, knowledge and sustainability.
