Mansour bin Zayed issues a decision to establish the Abu Dhabi Labor Prosecution

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the State, Deputy Prime Minister and head of the Presidential Bureau, in his capacity as head of the Judicial Department in Abu Dhabi, issued a decision to establish a specialized public prosecutor, under the name of “Abu Dhabi Labor Prosecution”, to undertake the tasks of investigation and prosecution on cases related to workers and auxiliary workers.

This decision comes within the framework of the Judicial Department’s efforts to develop and expand the scope of specialized prosecutions, given its active role in ensuring the speed and efficiency of judicial procedures and achieve justice in an accurate and integrated way in the vital sectors, taking into account the privacy of each field, which contributes to supporting the judicial system in the emirate and preserving the rights of all parties according to the highest standards of transparency and justice.

According to the decision, the jurisdiction of the Abu Dhabi Labor Prosecution includes the crimes stipulated in the decree of Federal Law No. (33) for the year 2021 regarding the regulation of labor relations, and the decree of the Federal Law No. (9) of 2022 regarding the auxiliary service workers, which falls within the geographical scope of the Abu Dhabi region.

The Abu Dhabi Labor Prosecution consists of a member of a public prosecutor with at least a prosecutor, assisted by a sufficient number of prosecution members and specialized employees.
