Al -Ahly youth contract with the Serbian national team star Maximovic

A source confirmed to «Emirates Today» that Al -Ahly Youth Club ended the contract with Serbian midfielder Nemania Maximovic, coming from the Greek Panathenikos, in a deal worth $ 3.25 million.
The source pointed out that the 29 -year -old ended all his transfer procedures to the Emirati club, and bid farewell to his colleagues in the Greek team before traveling to join Al -Ahly youth training in preparation for the new season of the ADNOC Professional League.
Maximovic is expected to constitute a strong addition to the team’s midfield, thanks to his great experience gained from playing in major European leagues, especially the Spanish League with Valencia and Getafe, in addition to his international participation with the Serbia national team.
And Nimania Maximovic was born on January 26, 1995 in the city of Bania Koveliaka in Serbia, and began his football career in the Sunni groups before moving to professionalism, as he was characterized by high technical and physical capabilities, qualifying him to play in the center of the center, and combined defensive discipline and offensive vision.
His star brightened with the Serbia youth team, and contributed to the coronation of the European U -19 Championship in 2013, then played a decisive role in the U -20 World Cup in 2015, by scoring the goal of winning in the final match against Brazil, which made him one of the most prominent emerging talents at that time.
On the professional level, he started his career outside Serbia with the Slovenian club Domjali, then moved to Astana Kazakhi, where he scored the league and cup titles and proved himself as an influential player. After that he had an experience in Spain with Valencia in 2017, and Getafe in 2018, where he spent six seasons during which he presented a steady performance, and maintained his position as a key player.
In the summer of 2024, he moved to the Greek Panathenikos before choosing a new challenge in the UAE league with Al -Ahly youth, with his international presence with the first Serbia team, which he represented in more than 50 games.
