The relevant authorities in the emirate, in the forefront of which is the Abu Dhabi Quality and matching Council, attaches great importance to ensuring the conformity of products and services to the approved specifications, and free of any materials or components that may pose a risk to public health or the environment, through an integrated work system that includes field control, specialized laboratory tests, issuing certificates and licenses, and providing technical consultations and training programs.

In its duties, the Council relies on effective partnerships with government and semi -governmental bodies, allowing it to implement accurate control plans, and to adopt advanced work methodologies that enhance the quality of services, and support the competitiveness of national products in the local, regional and global markets.

Statistics of the second quarter of the current year 2025 showed that the Council’s operational sectors achieved positive performance indicators in various fields of work, which reflect its continuous commitment to developing and improving the quality control system, as the market services sector and consumers searched on 33 thousand and 452 products to verify their conformity to the specifications, withdrawing 20 products from the markets that do not conform to the specifications, and correct 17 products alongside Check 4191 legal measurement tool, review 432 packages.

The Central Examination Laboratory of the Council carried out 138,957 laboratory examinations within a wide range of fields, including water, food, environment, building materials, agriculture, cosmetics, medicines, and medical equipment, in addition to electricity transformers, and water exams recorded the largest percentage of total tests, followed by food and fluids, with a noticeable rise in sample tests Environmental.

During the second quarter of the current year, the laboratory carried out 76,696 laboratory examination examinations, 44 thousand and 653 food and fluid examinations, and he performed 11 thousand and 614 environmental examinations, 3843 examinations of transformers, 1709 for building and construction materials, 161 agricultural examinations, 66 medical tools and equipment, 50 laboratory examinations For cosmetics, 165 public examinations, and 10 public consultations.

The Emirates Mitreation Institute continued its role in ensuring the accuracy of measurements and calibration, as it issued 300 calibration certificates, and implemented 9 comparisons, and provided advisory services of about 11 services in addition to providing 4 training programs, as these specialized efforts support the development of quality infrastructure in the country.

As for the conformity and specifications services sector, it has issued 1,444 certificates of conformity with the services of individuals, renewed 2832 other certificates, and renewed 108 product matching certificates, issued 21 other certificates, 38 productive registration certificates, and 21 new licenses using the confidence mark, and renewed eight existing licenses.

The Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council continues to work according to a comprehensive strategy aimed at upgrading quality standards in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, ensuring the safety of consumers, and supporting the competitiveness of the local economy, through the application of the latest examination and control systems, and the adoption of leading global practices in this field.
