The Minister of Culture and the Governor of Ismailia opens the National Smmex Forum

– Dr. Ahmed Hano honors the symbols of the art and the scientific committee for the file of its registration in UNESCO

& nbsp; The General Authority for Culture Palaces, headed by Major General Khaled Al -Labban, during the celebration hosted by the Ismailia Culture Palace, in the presence of a large public, and with the participation of nine technical teams from the governorates of the channel and Sinai. This came in the presence of: Engineer Hazem Al -Ashmouni, Governor of Sharqia, Lieutenant General Ashraf Atwa, Vice -Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority, Major General Ashraf Al -Dawoudi, the former governor of Qena, Dr. Nasser Mandour, President of the Suez Canal University, and journalist Khaled Al -Balashi, Captain of Journalists, and Major General Mohamed Amer, Assistant Minister of Interior, Ismailia Security Director. Fouad Heno, Minister of Culture:

The Minister of Culture stressed that the ministry will continue its efforts to revive and protect folklore in all parts of the country, so that Egypt remains Humor, civilization and arts, a source of inspiration and pride for future generations, wishing our dear Egypt more creativity and prosperity. Also, the Sesame Drafting Committee took two years of hard work, and participated in this effort multiple cultural bodies, including the General Authority for Culture Palaces, the Cultural Development Fund, and the National Center for Cinema, within the framework of the state’s keenness to preserve its cultural heritage. Popular customs, beliefs and knowledge, and advisor to the Minister of Culture for Heritage, Dr. Mohamed Shabana, Professor of Folk Literature at the Academy of Arts, Dr. Rasha Tamoum, Professor of theories and Music authorship at Helwan University, Dr. Khaled Abu Al -Layl, Professor of Folk Literature at the Faculty of Arts, Cairo University and Deputy Chairman of the Egyptian General Book Authority, Mohamed Baghdadi, the poet, artist and researcher in folklore, Dr. Hemat Mustafa, Director of the Arts Division of the Supreme Council For culture, Wael Hussein, Head of the Central Administration of the People and the Committees, Ahmed Al -Sayed, Director of the Supreme Council Affairs Department, and each of: Haitham Sharif – Nader Jalal – Bassam Farhat, who made the documentary film for Smium Ismailia:

& LDQUO; today, this national forum for Smmex in its third edition brings us together, as a global event that the sesame was able as a local musical instrument to continue and celebrate. We are honored to host it at this historical time, coinciding with the inclusion of the Sesame Machine on the UNESCO Introduction List. This achievement is the culmination of a long march of a machine that has always been part of the identity of the Egyptians, which was carried out by a group of heritage and art specialists on a long journey of studies, hard work and documentation. With its insertion on the list of the neutral heritage of UNESCO, the sesame has become the tenth element that is added to the Egyptian list. This achievement would not have been achieved had it not been for the relevant efforts of the committee that worked day and night, and led the file with high craftsmanship until documenting it. Thanks to the members of the Scientific Committee that worked to register the symposical machine file on the representative lists with the agreement to preserve the inhuman cultural heritage & rdquo;

& nbsp; Ismailia, and his approval to embrace this forum, explaining that his keenness to hold the forum in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture is an affirmation of his sincere desire towards creating a distinguished cultural field in Ismailia Governorate. Great, which is the registration of the sesame machine on the lists of infinite cultural heritage in UNESCO, to become part of the world human heritage, and to recognize its role as a symbol of the authentic Egyptian identity. This forum, organized by the Ministry of Culture represented by the General Authority for Culture Palaces, comes within the framework of the Ministry’s keenness to preserve folklore and revive traditional arts, and to present it to new generations in a living, renewed form that reflects the richness and diversity of our cultural personality. As we honor today the symbols of the art of sesame, and the scientific committee that contributed to this achievement, we confirm that preserving our heritage is a shared responsibility, and a pillar of national identity & rdquo;.
