100 farms participate in an initiative "Dates"

Dubai, August 20/ WAM/ 100 local farms participated in the “Stop Dates” initiative launched by the Mohammed Bin Rashid International Center for Endowment and Gift Consulting, affiliated with the Endowments Corporation and the management of minor funds in Dubai, in cooperation with the Hamdan bin Mohammed Center to revive heritage with the aim of collecting the surplus dates and distributing it to families due according to their needs and number of members.

The initiative aims to enable farmers to contribute to sustainable endowment work, and to support limited income families, while preserving the local agricultural heritage, in a clear reflection of the spirit of social responsibility.

The “My Vision for the Family” Association contributed to identifying beneficiary families, by providing accurate data that takes into account the actual needs of each family.

His Excellency Ali Al -Mutawa, Secretary -General of the Endowment Foundation and the Management of Palace Funds in Dubai, stressed that the great turnout and the rapid response of farmers to participation reflects the values of social solidarity and the entrenched culture of endowment and giving in society, noting that these initiatives enhance societal interdependence and open prospects for sustainable human contributions.

For its part, Zainab Al -Tamimi, director of the Mohammed Bin Rashid International Center for Endowment and Gift Consulting, explained that the initiative witnessed a wide interaction of farmers within a few weeks, which embodies the association of Emirati society with the values of generosity and giving.

Al -Tamimi indicated that the center is currently working on preparing an educational booklet distributed with dates to introduce beneficiaries to the types and seasons of dates, in a framework that combines the human and cognitive dimension.
