"Civil aviation" A new list of crisis management is issued at airports

Abu Dhabi, August 21/ WAM/ The General Authority of Civil Aviation announced today the issuance of the civil aviation regulations for crisis management in airports “CAR – Airport Crisis Management”, which is a regulatory regulations designed specifically to create a qualitative shift in airports preparation mechanisms for crises, emergencies and operational disorders, respond to and recover from them.
The list was developed through close cooperation with state airports, based on international best practices, as it sets a comprehensive, integrated and anticipated framework for crisis management within the airport environment.
This list represents a strategic shift from the traditional models based on reaction, into a coordinated approach to performance that enhances safety, continuity of business and operational excellence in the aviation sector.
His Excellency Saif Muhammad Al -Suwaidi, Director General of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, said that the list represents an important addition to the regulations to organize and safety of the civil aviation sector in the country, and enhances its ability to fulfill the requirements of business continuity and organize the sector according to the best practices in force.
He added that this regulation reflects the state’s commitment to innovation and future planning, and it guarantees the readiness of our airports not only to deal with crises, but to get out of it in a stronger and more integrated way.
The new regulation provides a global standard for the management of complex and changing challenges such as a global health pandemic or natural disasters, as airports are obligated to develop comprehensive plans to manage crisis, activate coordination between the concerned authorities, and implement continuous training programs, in addition to integrating decision -making mechanisms based on risk evaluation within daily operations.
Engineer Aqeel Al -Zarouni, Assistant Director General of the Aviation Safety Sector, said that the preparation of the regulations came after a series of consultations with airports operators and those concerned with the sector.
He added that the regulations were relied on on the experiences and expertise of airports operators, which enabled the design of a practical and applicable organizational framework on the ground, and this is a strategic step that enhances the state’s position as a leading global flight center in institutional flexibility.
This step comes within the authority’s strategy to enhance the position of the UAE as a safe, flexible and advanced airline center, and provides an organizational model in which the regulatory authorities and airport operators worldwide are followed.
